Summary: The North African Campaign was also known as the desert war. The main causes of the North African Campaign was control of the Suez Canal, access o oil from the middle east, and raw materials from Asia. There were three phases of the war, Western Desert Campaign, Operation Torch, and Tunisia Campaign.
